Battling HOA Bullies

Imagine being threatened with foreclosure for a debt you didn’t owe? Consumer Investigator Todd Ulrich explains how this homeowner fought back against her HOA, today at 5:45 p.m. on Channel 9 Eyewitness News.

HOA's started in the 1950's. They were originally formed to save the
home owners time and money with trash and snow removal, lawn care,
etc... But over time HOA's became bureaucratic and now they are
downright authoritarian!

She needs to run for the HOA board and put the hurt on these creeps.

Give petty little people some power and this is what happens. When I was looking to buy a house, I passed on two houses that I really liked because I found out they belonged to an HOA.

Problem is they did not pay 33, 000 out of their own pocket they paid with the money they have in the reserves.
I am in her position right now… unfortunately, I’m having problems finding a lawyer so deep into the case, and I have every single proof of harassment by HOA.

HOA's should be illegal or SEVERELY restricted. Remember, there are things you can do that will severely screw over the hoa WHILST being protected legally. You can make owl houses and put them on trees the HOA wants to cut down. If they mess with one of those after an owl is there, film it and call a Game Warden of Environmental Police. Those people DO NOT PLAY when it comes to protected wildlife. You can also set up a radio tower, which is protected. You can also make a bat sanctuary. There are a BUNCH of things you can do.
