Do cats miss us when we leave?

Well, I don't think I'm ever leaving home again after seeing this! And if you know anyone who thinks cats don't miss us when we leave, here's your proof! (I imagine this might also work as a practical joke on your cats!? How do they react to Kodi's meowing?)

Many years ago I went on vacation in the summer time and left my cat home, with my parents. He was an indoor/outdoor cat so he not only was in his own familiar surroundings but also well taken care of with food and activities. When I finally came home he was on the other side of the yard. As soon as he heard and saw me he sprinted across the yard and practically jumped up into my arms to greet me. If ANYBODY ever says cats are unfeeling they're full of shit. That cat adored me almost as much as I did him!

Our dog got all worried and ran to check out if our cat is OK. He loves his little buddy. =)

My cat always sits on the window sill waiting for us and meows like crazy until we open the door, then he lets us hug him and he'll go back to being a cat.

The way the cat meows is so heartbreaking-- as if it was really crying... it got me tearing up.

And then my own cat just meowed at me and hopped over to my bed after she heard me sniffling.

My cat used to cry like that all the time when I left he'd even look out the window until I left. it was the sweetest thing ever!

Rescued my cat when he was 4 weeks old. He's now 2. Still sleeps on my pillow every night and sleeps next to the front door till I get home. Where he sits up and meows for 10 seconds when I do. Only time he ever meows. Cats are just as loyal as anything else.
