That your dad set the Wi-Fi to 000-destruct-0 is just perfect. And that you were today years old when you found out what it meant.

I love how Cassie immediately got defensive when they even mentioned retiring the Enterprise. She's a Trekkie now.

"Is that Doc from Back to the Future?"

Us oldies: It's Jim Ignatowski from Taxi!

"My logic is uncertain where my son is concerned" still hits hard given everything between Sarek and Spock.

I love that we got at least three different names for Mount Selaya from Cassie. The funniest was Mount Sulu. 😃

You're gonna love Star Trek IV, glad to see you sticking with these movies, they really are a treat

The fact your father's Wi-Fi password was the destruct code for the U.S.S. Enterprise tells me he had a great sense of humor and good taste in entertainment.

Six people put their lives and careers on the line for a friend. One lost his son and his ship. One of the best portrayals of friendship, love, loyalty and sacrifice I've seen on screen. Even Enterprise, broken as she was, fought to her last to save Spock.

The fact that your dad made that password means he was a true trekkie. GG on him.

Yes, Christopher Lloyd, who is known for many roles including Doc Brown, plays the Klingon baddie in this film.

William Shatner was so good in this movie. His reaction when David dies is heart breaking, and changes Kirk forever. The desruction of the one thing he loves, the Enterprise, changing death into a chance to fight back. Kirk's finest hour.

Being that you've only watched a few episodes, you can't understand how absolutely heartbreaking it was for long time fans to see the Enterprise destroyed....People were actually tearing up in the theaters...

What I remember about this movie: when Spock died at the end of Star Trek II the theater was in stunned silence. But when the Enterprise blew up, people cried out. Then when the crew stood on that hill watching the Enterprise burn down through the atmosphere, you could hear people audibly sobbing all over the theater.
Star Trek is not the voyages of Kirk and Spock, it’s the voyages of the starship Enterprise. And they killed the Enterprise. It really broke people.

Cassie will ALWAYS keep surprising you, her becoming a full blown Trekkie was not on my bingo card. 😂

The reason they "killed" Spock in "Khan" was Leonard Nimoy really didn't want to play the part anymore and said he'd only do "Khan" if Spock died. But, during the filming, he realized he was wrong and that the character needed to live on and was vital to the franchise. But, they'd already committed his character to die. So, they basically had to come up with a way to bring him back, and that's how you get this movie.

You are going to absolutely LOVE the next one. It's perhaps the one of the six movies that most features the characters of the major crew members, and gives each of them moments to shine. Plus it's a really fun story that I think you'll enjoy.

It's a shame that Leonard Nimoy isn't with us anymore. I feel he would enjoy a reaction like this many years after the fact. "I just like going on adventures with these guys, " is a great quote that would have made him smile.

You apologized because "some people hate Star Trek" but honestly, these reactions have been among my favorites!
I truly hope you go back and do some more original series reactions.

I've grown to appreciate this movie a lot more in the youtube reaction era, it's got a lot of heart and care to how its crafted. Yes Saavik is supposed to be the same vulcan played by Kirstie Allie but was recast with Robin Curtis because Kirstie was a big star on the TV show Cheers by this point. Also you noticing that Mark Lenard (who plays Sarek, Spock's father) looking the same age as Spock; Mark Lenard is actually 7 years older than Leonard Nimoy but that's obviously not a very big age difference for playing father/son. But Mark Lenard is so dang good. And you caught Christopher Lloyd through the makeup, and the same actress playing T'Lar! Well done! You'll love #4
