CLIP DESCRIPTION:
Spock's (Leonard Nimoy) memory returns after his resurection.

FILM DESCRIPTION:
When last we left the crew of the star ship Enterprise, they were heading home following a skirmish with the despotic Khan. The unpleasant incident had cost the life of Mr. Spock (Leonard Nimoy)--or so it seemed. Admiral Kirk (William Shatner) is informed by Spock's father Sarek (Mark Lenard) that his son is being kept alive in the thoughts of one of the crew members. It now becomes necessary to search for Spock's body, so that flesh and soul can be rejoined on Vulcan. It turns out that Spock's spirit is residing within the mind of the Vulcan's longtime shipmate, "Bones" McCoy (DeForrest Kelley). Finding the body is another matter, since the Enterprise has been consigned to the trash heap and thus is out of Kirk's jurisdiction.

I don't think Spock ever really appreciates how much he's loved. This scene, man. Gets me every time

"You have been my friend, you came back for me..." Gets me every time. LOL

Love Shatner´s laugh when Nimoy raises his eyebrow like that.

'Jim... Your name is Jim'. Just seeing those words written down brings a manly tear to my eye.

I love that raised eyebrow of his.  It can say so much when words fail him.

Spock: Jim...your name, is Jim.
Kirk: Yes.

Some of the best final movie lines ever.

McCoy smiles, taps his temple, etc. He & Spock had a mutual respect even though they could disagree vehemently.

I love the bit at the end where the rest of the crew rushes Spock and fusses over him. He clearly wasn't used to that sort of attention, but he went with it. I'm not sure what Sulu said at 1:59, but I love how Uhura pats his shirt a bit. Amanda and Sarek just hang out in the background. They knew they'd get their chance to reunite with Spock after the rest of the crew fussed over him a bit.

I blew it up.

When anyone ever mocks Shatner with that stupid impression of Kirk. I come back and watch the pure emotion of the man. I love this scene so much

Got my parents to buy me this film on video when I was about 10 years old simply because I saw Christopher Lloyd's name on the box and I loved him from Back to the Future. I knew next to nothing about Star Trek at the time. This film was the introduction to it all and I fell in love with it so much I eventually had to get all the other Star Trek movies then all the episodes of the original series. This film was the genesis of my subsequent 20 year love affair with the 'original' Star Trek. This scene encapsulates what was great about it for me; the characters, the love they had for each other, the mystery and brilliance of Mr Spock. Watching this film, ending with this scene, countless times was just the beginning for me. Just thought I'd share that.

The needs of one outweigh the needs of the many. Having retired from the US Navy and always believed others before self, this line makes me tear up. The love and friendship between those who serve is not often spoken to. Say what yo will, one of the best lines to be spoken. Then Spock tries to contemplate it with his logic.

I watched 2 and 3 last night in remembrance of Nimoy...the above scene is particularly tough to watch now because now we know he's not coming back to his friends anymore like above...I started crying seeing this part...cannot believe he is gone for real now...

It was always Spock's resurrection, not his death, that brought me to tears. This scene encapsulates the heart and soul of Star Trek.

This brings a tear to my eye. We lost 5 of them now, RIP Leonard Nimoy, James Doohan,   DeForest Kelley, Majel Barrett-Roddenberry, and of course the man himself.
The reason we have this fantastic world. Gene Roddenberry. I'll see you all when I beam up.
