New Sharp - Roku TV initial set up and use. - VOTD

I purchased a new TV during Super Bowl weekend. This is a Sharp Smart TV with a Roku operating system.

Robert, I wanted to thank you for making this video. I, like you, thought of returning my TV (exactly the one you have) because it was stuck on that Roku setup screen and I couldn't set up my xfinity cable. I couldn't get the TV to talk to my cable remote or get the channels or see the channel guide. After an hour on the phone with the Comcast support team, I looked and I found your video. So I did what you did, I went back and signed in again, and it worked the second time.

Then, just so you know, I went through the "Antenna TV" section (?) (weird name) to find my cable channels. Strange UX, but you can find the cable channels that way (not through HDMI 1 or 2, which don't work for just the standard cable box [at least they didn't for me]). I selected the option that required channels 3 & 4, then it searched for cable channels, and they all showed up and the remote was synced.

Great review Sir. I primarily want to have my TV turn back on to my main input (satellite box in my case). Is there a way or setting or maybe it's even default, will the TV start back up to the last thing you did (like your input) or does it send you back to that Roku interface every single time you start TV? Thanks!

Hi,
Where do you get additional apps from? Because Samsung has an app store, so I don't know if you can get apps from any of the app sites? I want to get a firefox app so I can use a browser, I saw a picture of a TCL roku tv and in the picture showed a shot of the apps on it and there was one for firefox.

television at Best Buy.  They seemed to not be able to help me with this

I have the TV
hooked to a Wally Satellite Receiver via the HDMI input 1 on the TV. 
Every time i turn on the tv i have to use the TV Remote to switch it
over to the HDMI Input that the tv is hooked to.


MY
question is, is there a setting or a way so that when i use the Wally
Remote power button to turn the tv on and it automatically is tuned to
the HDMI input?  Without having to find the tv remote and switch it
over.

Does this blue tooth adapter plug into the "audio out" on the back of my TV? That's the only thing left that I can plug something into. All the rest have things plugged in. Sorry I am not technically savvy so I don't what things are called. My friend set up my TV.

just ordered a 32 inch sharp smart tv. you can select chanels right like hdmi 1 or 2 right? I'm not using the smart features because I have an Xbox one and 360. I also plan on getting a unierversal remote because that remote looks Dumb

Trying to watch cable, but the picture isnt hd and there is black border around the picture, any suggestions how to fix this?
