About five months ago? I bought this television from Best Buy and it has turned out to be a headache. Both Roku and Best Buy are trying my patience. Have any of you had this experience?

Best Buy's Geek Squad is a terrible service. it's a rip off service aimed at unknowledgeable customers. They constantly tried swindling my mother years back. Thankfully I was always around to stop it. That being said, I've had the TCL, Sharp, and Insignia ROKU TVs. The same issue you faced with the Sharp model is the same one I faced. Before the Insignia ROKU TV came out, I was all about the TCL Roku TV. It is really good, but then I tested out the Insignia ROKU TV. Of course it would be better seeing as how it was the most recent Roku TV to be released, I think. Most will tell you to get a TCL because it was the first, so most have it, but the best I've come across is the Insignia ROKU TV. Hope that helps. Also, when it comes to purchasing TVs, check out CNET's YouTube channel or website. For other tech reviews, check out Engadget's (and amateur YouTube's) reviews. Never trust a sales person's opinion. They tend to have outdate information and/or an agenda to push customers towards X product because that's what the store wanta them to push at the moment. Even sales staff at cellphone stores do this. Hell, they will straight up lie to you if they think you're stupid.

The same thing happened to me. I bought the 50". with Roku. After 30 days the it quit connecting with the internet. Sharp was a Japanese company. They sold their American sales to Hisense, a Chinese Company. Hisense strung me along for 2 months. They sent two WIFI boards to me and sent a tech to install them twice. Still no WIFI connection. During that period, they lost my case, mixed up my contact information, made promises to call back and then didn't. Hisense is a joke. Do not buy anything from them.
You are right about buying a "dumb" TV and then buying the Roku box. That is a better option than dealing with a predatory company like Hisense.

Wow. I was going to Best Buy to purchase the Sharp TV with built in Roku. Not now! I read all the reviews and to me TV is not all that serious to go through all that frustration. Plus I've dealt the the Geez Squad and will never do that agai either. So, I'm simply going to buy the Roku separately. Thank God for buyers who take the time to post "Reviews"!!!!

Sorry for the bad experience, in this black Friday it is on sale at BB. Looks like they are selling out all of them. I was thinking about buying but after watching your video... Changing my mind.
I think BB should refund your 💰 or replace your TV.
Have a great day.

two year old video, and after watching this & in the market for a new TV I am staying away from Sharp:Roku. Thanks for posting your experience. Also I think I will stay away from buying at BestBuy, to many issues with Geek Squad. There you go, use cheap parts and lose customers, big business will never learn

I just recently brought this tv a few days ago. It has been pretty good, I don't use the wifi anyway.

Good review, and a plus is, no moronic music that people use on videos. LEARN SOMETHING YOU PEOPLE

I think I have the same TV. It's a 43" Sharp Roku TV from 2015. Been 5 years, no issues, though! Only sad thing is the new ones are 4K UHD, and mine is 1080p. But 1080p was the standard back then.

the sharp roku tv is now 199.99 for the 32 inch and if roku fails including the wifi i would use other devices such as a firestick or tv . thank goodness you donot have to do anything silly such as you have to connect to wifi inorder to get access to your hdmi ports
