Installing a wood window buck into a Shipping Container.
In this video we will show different methods for cutting through a container.
An angle grinder works well for starting your cuts.
A Jigsaw or Saber saw works well. Use with a metal cutting blade.
After the layout is determined.
Pre-drill holes for attachment of the wood buck.
Reciprocating Saw or Sawzall with a "Edge" blade worked very well.
The metal gauges in a container varies so we recommended different blades for thinner the metal sidewalls with 20-24 teeth per inch, or try a medium thickness blade for between 10-18 teeth per inch, and for very thick metal, like the square tube or flooring beams a blade with around 8 teeth per inch will work better.
Use an angle grinder to smooth out the sharp cut edges.
Use a 2x4 to straighten the corrugations for the template.
Mark the 2x4 at 2", centering the 2x6 wood buck over the corrugation.
Mark the 2x6 for the corrugation pattern.
The Loctite PL Premium will provide a tight air seal and bond.
Attach the exterior 1/2 of the wood buck through the predrilled holes in the container wall.
The interior 1/2 of the wood buck's 2x4s holes were countersunk.
The window bucks are complete.
Next step is to insulate the interior walls with the CX44 panels

As a retired welder I have worked on a lot of containers the less wood you use the better in the long haul, container houses are not that cheap to build, and a lot of counties won't approve, one thing I will pass a long in buying your container watch for auctions have 5 containers on my place for storage the last 2 I bought at Auction 8x40 high wall heavy duty one trip $1500 each so watch for Auctions
