Worked for a small Concrete company when I was a kid. LOVED IT! We would make these in between jobs. Concrete is SO COOL and there is so much you can do with it if you know how. Thanks for the memories.

I've found that making the bottoms concave a little bit keeps them from rocking as they settle into the subtropical sand/clay ground here in Southeastern Louisiana. For smaller stepping-stones I use hardware cloth to impress a waffle-pattern into the tops to avoid slipping on them as the green algae grows on them. It grows on every surface, : plastic siding, vehicles, windows, metal, wood, concrete...if I sat still long enough it'd probably cover my body.

Love these videos- I’m single older woman and need to create a patio and extend my driveway. Wasn’t sure how to get it done on my own - until now!! Thank you!

Love this video, I appreciate how it's geared towards homeowners who could easily knock out a sidewalk or patio project in a couple weekends. Sure it's nice to have a truck come and pour it all in one go but if you're short on cash this could be a great option! Just need a little ground prep and moisture barrier for us up in the rust belt.

Trowling and floating that concrete looks so relaxing. I bet it's therapeutic.

So relaxing, I’m addicted to your vids. This is an art form, my favorite part is the tool that makes the gritty part look like watery putty.

David is a gift that keeps giving! I have not done a single project yet but I told my wife I know how to do a lot of things because I watched a lot of Odell Complete Concrete Youtube videos.

Dave is a true old school craftsman. He builds everything to last. Solid, just like Fort Knox. Great that he is willing to give back to the community too. 👍👍

I like the exposed aggregate. Making pavers like this is a neat idea, you could make the forms and do a couple every now and then, like on the weekend or after work or something, and before yo know it you have a whole pile of these things for whatever project you need. Best of all, pavers can be picked up and reused. Even if you didn't want them later, someone would gladly take them.

Nothing as relaxing and satisfying, as watching a master craftsman at work putting a beautiful trowel finish on concrete. Thanks to your videos and a couple of others videos on here, concerning concrete work, I've gained so much knowledge and hands on skills over the past 5 years, that I now run my own business...Konkrete Worx LLC

This is exactly how my city sidewalks look in western Washington after rinsing them. Now I know how they might have done it and I can closely match if I ever get the courage to fix my cracked and lifting little front walk.

I really like and appreciate how you explain and instruct and warn as you make your projects. I hope you have a very merry Christmas to you and your crew.

I saw this concrete finish in a house in British Columbia I stayed in back in July, looked really great and the guy told us how it was created.

wish you would have shown the process of removing the pavers from the forms. Loved it!

My back yard has concrete pavers and is just a mess. Ants and my new puppy have dug under several and it was missing a few when I moved in. I've been thinking of taking it all up and re-laying sand and then new pavers to clean it up. Now that I've watched this, I think I'm going to pull up the pavers and lay down these concrete blocks. I think they will be much more stable, more attractive, and cheaper!

We did a little pad for a hot tub in sand finish we where using sponges to break down the cream on top. Came out better then the top cast portions of the rest of the job

Oh man at the 9 minute mark that was beyond absolute perfection. I would have given anything to see how that was going to dry. Absolute masterpiece!!! You couldn’t have smoothed that out any better. I really LOVED that first surface. You did an outstanding job. I never knew it was so time consuming. I thought you put the concrete in your form, let it dry a bit, then smooth it out. I really the dimensions too.
