If you're in a freeze and thaw state do NOT dowel into anything that is on footings. As the slab of concrete will frost heave and the building will not cause your concrete to crack

Right on the grass is not the way to go. Dig out your area and put a layer of gravel down. Compact it then put a bit of rebar. Pour.

How did rebarring it to the house turn out? Crack or anything?

Hi! Nice short video. I have an observation. If you anchor the pad to the house wall, you may feel the generator vibration throughout the house. Mi neighbor did a similar pad and the concrete was made flush to the house wall. He feels the living room vibrating when generator is on.

Any thoughts?

Step one is measure. Then plan budget, excavate, tamp, form, mix concrete to the proper ratio and slump, pour, aerate (or at least tap the forms to get bubbles out). Then float and finish it.

The next step is be prepared for people or animals to walk on it too soon.

Check your local/state codes and product manual for minimum required spacing from a structure and any door/window openings.
