Z height is kinda difficult to use because you want to have your biggest face on the build plate for stability. I think they just put whatever extra z height that’s reasonable because it doesn’t affect its footprint and most people don’t have anything above it

Talk to me, we are using Z-axis as hell, building tons of engineering components.... And sometimes we have parts with 320x320x320. Or even when we need to place something under an angle due to strenght consideration. So the Z-axis for you may not be something you need, but for some of is the best future, as we dont care what color will be the 3D printed part.

I completely agree that the larger height is useless, its my biggest complaint woth 500mm printers like the ratrig or t500. I know this fits most people, but im surprised nobody has made even a single wide and short machine...
