There are hundreds millions ways of arranging the cube, so a few moves will only reach the solved cube after departing from an already solved cube and "playing backwards".

when they do the same algorithm with the solved cube it solves itself because it's like moving a layer over and over again. if you have the cube dissolved it is not going to be solved, the algorithm returns it to how was it.
