HOW TO SOLVE A RUBIK'S CUBE (& Remember The Steps!)

Welcome to your first step to becoming a SPEED CUBER! This tutorial takes you through the full beginner's method and provides tips for memorising each step. Unlike other videos, this approach makes it really natural to move to intermediate & eventually advanced methods!

KEY SEQUENCES
- Easy Move: R U R' U'
- Placing edge into the left: U' L' U L U F U' F'
- Placing edge into the right: U R U' R' U' F' U F
- To make a yellow cross: F R U R' U' F' (or F Easy Move F')
- To make a yellow top: R U R' U R U2 R' ("Sune")
- To swap 2 top layer corners: R U R' U' R' F R2 U' R' U' R U R' F' ("T perm")
- To swap 3 top layer edges: R U' R U R U R U' R' U' R2 ("U perm")

SUMMARY OF EACH STEP
Step 1: Create the white cross, making sure each edge matches the correct colour of its respective side.
Step 2: Complete the white side by inserting the correct white corner pieces. Make sure the white corner is above the place it needs to go, and use the Easy Move (R U R' U'). Layer 1 is complete!
Step 3: Complete layer 2 by inserting the correct edge piece between the centres. Make sure the piece in the top layer is aligned with the same center colour, then use the "Placing edge" sequence above.
Step 4: Create a yellow cross on the top using the 6 move sequence - F, Easy Move, F'. Ignore the corner colours at the stage. If there's only a yellow center, doing the sequence will create the right angle shape. Align that to 9 o'clock, and the 6 moves will make it a horizontal line. Now when do the 6 moves, it'll become a cross!
Step 5: Make the top entirely yellow. The only sequence you need here is the "Sune" (R U R' U R U2 R'). If none of the corners are yellow upwards, just do the sune. If two corners are yellow upwards, make sure a yellow side is facing you on the front left, then do the sune. Finally when you get the fish, make its nose point towards your left, and 1 or 2 sunes will now complete the yellow top!
Step 6: Move all the corners into their correct positions, with respect to their side. The "T Perm" sequence will always swap the two corners on the right. If you need to swap diagonal corners, just do the T perm from any side, then it'll end up in the right position for one more T perm.
Step 7: Move the edges into their correct positions. The "U Perm" I teach will always swap the left, front and right edges in a clockwise direction. You may have to do this up to 3 times to fix the cube.
Step 8: Shout hooray and superglue your cube so that it never gets scrambled again! Just kidding, mix it up again when you feel brave and keep getting better and better 😃

I amm so glad that I had managed to find this tutoriall for my friend as she has already done her first solve in under 2 hours and is already onto her seond solve as we speak! The relaving background music, the full on front view of the cube, the fact that you have only only used the begginer method but also have integrated a number of OLL and PLL algorithms to further cut down the number of moves it would take to do, the nice and lively entertaining voice, having the irelevent pieces coloured black and only the pieces that you need to focus on being coloured in all make this a very good tutorial to learn from. 10/10 and would reccomend this tutorial to anyone! In late 2020 i picked up a cube which I have forgotten for quite a while. But then i solved 1 side, and then another, but I knew there were proper methods to solve the thing. I watched your tutorial and it took me a month to remember all the steps, almost 4 years later, i solve the cube in around 15-20 seconds.

Just thought I'd share this info to the people who are actually beginners. For the "Fishy" part (9:05), there is another algorithm you can use which is called "Antisune". Basically, you're doing the same algorithm as the Sune, but this time it'll be on the left side. But in order for it to work, you have to make sure the yellow corner is facing you, but on the left side. This way you don't necessarily have to do the Sune multiple times on the right side. Hopefully this helps!
