If the last step doesn't work:
- Make sure you turn the bottom face instead of turning the whole cube to get the next piece
- Finish the 4 moves (don't stop at 3)

If you still manage to solve the yellow side but ruin the white side, you might have a twisted piece that you will have to fix by twisting it or taking the cube apart.

(To know for sure, the last step requires you to repeat the 4 moves either a total of 6 times or 12 times. If you get a different total, like 8, then you need to physically twist a piece)

*Who else is watching without a 2x2x2 cube?*

I'm kind of embarrassed to say I can solve an 8x8 but it has been so long since I solved a 2x2 I had to look up a tutorial. A word of advice for anyone who is trying to learn bigger cubes, about once a month go back and solve every cube you have, it is worth it. Trust me.

Who else is solving with a 4x4 to save money?

This is actually remarkably similar to solving a 3x3

Dude, this is the best 2x2 tutorial I've found online. You make the 'theory' simple, and aren't just focused on "memorize these 9x moves and repeat them until you have achieved success". I was actually able to "look at the cube", find the colour I wanted, and was able to "move it" where it needed to be thanks to you! Appreciate this!

I just did the white placing like a 3x3 white corner, then did the 3x3 yellow corner swapping and I thank you for the hint about having only 1 yellow corner placed correctly before doing it though. That would probably take me a few hours to figure out. Then just flipped the pieces like you did, but I am used to having the yellow up, so it is inverted. It is easier/faster to see the yellow aligned like this.

This beginner method is so much better than the other one that I saw. Thanks as usually Jperm for the quality vids.

Thank you for the video! I think I could have learned much faster by following some mindless long algorithm in another video, but this video helped me understand the basics and made solving it feel more fun then I think it would have otherwise felt. It took me a while to figure it out, but I did get it in the end!

Hands down the absolute best 2x2 instructions!
I love that the video isn’t filled with a bunch of crazy algorithms. Very straight forward easy to remember patterns. Cheers

I gotta say, this is by far the best/easiest tutorial I've found. Only need 2 simple algorithms. Easy to remember and use. Thanks!
