Another factor I think may influence outcomes is that people eating late at night are often doing so because they have stressful or chaotic lives. Instead of chilling in the evening with their people and enjoying winding down and having supper, they're at business meetings and chasing dragons and only stop for a bite to eat then bed when the express train stops long enough to throw them off. Then they hit the ground running in the morning and can't stop to eat until lunch. So many lives are like this and it must stress both digestion and the heart.

I am old enough to recall that back in the 70's in England the vast majority of working class people fasted for a round 14 hrs per night. In our family we broke the fast at about 8am ( breakfast ) we had a decent school dinner followed by an evening meal around 5- 6pm. Fat kids were a rarity in comparison to today & we all walked about a mile each way to school in all weathers.

Im someone who currently diagnosed w heart failure n after 1 week of eating healthier n medications i decided to hop on with fasting too . I think it literally saved my life and better my heart vs b4 I was going though months of coughing at nights n wetting myself for at least 2 hrs till I exhausted n pass out . There was no way around it . Reason I think it very risky for someone like me is that what kind of fasting is safe as there water n non water . For me bc I have to be restricted the amount of fluids intakes going in otherwise I’ll repeat myself cough n wetting something I didn’t even know till I went into fasting . I noticed during my fast I wasn’t having those heart coughing system and I can lay down comfortably n sleeps vs before but I still have to take my medication as that something I discuss with my doctor n it just safer in my health condition as most peoples I see on YouTube said no medications on fast which I’m not sure if they discuss w their doctors or not as I assume they don’t . So is something to be openly honest w your doctor whether fasting is even safe as not everyone health conditions are the same . N to break a fast myself stupidly didn’t think was important turn out all my symptoms came back but went away when I eat healthier n take my medicines . Most of these types of research I can say peoples might do it wrong n assume why it works for others and not for them bc peoples in here dont talk in details what they do prior n after and leave others out there to kind of figures out on their own . Anyway I believe whether or not fasting will works or not but one thing im so grateful to try out to see what works w my chronic coughs from here on out n I think I might break the habit of my coughing here on out . Is really cut off waters n final meal of the day . Eat healthy, medications on right time, fast once a week, .. no one is a better doctor to your own health but you and is a trial error thing . Don’t assume it don’t work it maybe something u did wrong n requires u to go back into it and how u can make it till works 😅 ..

Whenever I see that big word - epidemiology, I take the rest of that study with a huge pinch of salt.
I've been fasting for years now and it has greatly benefitted my overall health.

Just curious about your thoughts on Dr. Mindy Pelz 30 Day Advanced Reset for a post-menopausal, 59 year old woman, as described in her book FAST LIKE A GIRL? Would you recommend it as is, make any tweaks, etc? Thank you for your insights!

This is all fine for someone working 8am to 5pm, but not all of us fit that mold. Is there a way to adjust for different schedules?

Recent studies suggest that intermittent fasting (IF) could be linked to a 92% rise in heart disease risk. ⚠ Skipping meals may cause overeating later, which can lead to high cholesterol and blood sugar spikes, increasing the strain on your heart. 🍔 Prolonged fasting also elevates cortisol, the stress hormone, potentially affecting blood pressure. 😬 Additionally, inconsistent eating might mean missing out on key nutrients essential for heart health. 🌿 For a safer approach, focus on regular, balanced meals with whole foods. 🍎🥗 Before trying IF, consult your doctor to ensure it's suitable for your unique health needs and heart! ❤

The problem with nutritional epidemiology is that it isn’t really science- it’s all theoretical based on human recall data, with no scientific experiments to follow to confirm or disprove the hypothesis.
