i do gig jobs (havent had a regular job since end of 2019) and everywhere i go i see “hiring”. literally everywhere. but im glad people are demanding better lifestyles for themselves. we are not machines!

Life is too Short, many died during COVID-19. So whatever time God gives me on this Earth why would I go back to a terrible situation in Corporate America. I don't need the materialistic things anymore minimalist I'm so proud of the millennials they are not taking it. Appreciate life thank God and do the things you want to do regarding career choices, don't just think about money think about your happiness passion and purpose. And and enjoy time with your family while you have them around otherwise you will regret it.

Working from home wasn’t an option for me. Innoway I’m very grateful I’m single and I’m very social. I enjoy talking to many different types of people. They sit in my chair and for most or some a new haircut or hairstyle is the highlight of they’re day. we talk for a very good amount of time turns into a therapy session for people of all ages from the elderly to college kids small kids frustrated moms and dads or singles working from home& I give words of Encouragement and of hope! ☺️ and remind them We’re in this together and we will get through this!! Don’t overthink over stress . One day at a time. 🙏🏽❤️

This is a really good topic. I’ll actually am exactly the person you were talking about. But luckily my job valued me enough to let me stay remote when people went back into office(I already moved and was ready to resign if need be). But all the new opportunities that are available do look great to me and I would like to find one where I have better health benefits and make more money because that’s what my position calls for. So disconnected with workers and so much biased towards the old ways.
In my company they try to convince people of the benefits of going back to the office while you can read in their eyes they know resignations will start coming...

Everyone's talking about this topic lately. So far, no one (at least that I've seen/heard) has discussed the implications/effects for Gen-X'ers. Unlike the Baby Boomers, our group has been shoved under the rug as usual. Some Baby Boomers had a great start financially but Gen-X'ers didn't. However, we've learned to adjust in any situation to put food on the table and pay bills. If you have to work onsite, deal with some crazy bosses, and put up with awful traffic, be grateful. It's better than being unemployed.

Yeah I mean remote work has been a lifesaver. I just graduated and on the money most jobs are paying there is no way I can live in the city lol so being able to work from my hometown for still well known companies has been so amazing. It just does suck a bit how I don't know if culture is quite the same which makes it harder if you don't have connections/friends in the company or in your area outside of work lol.
