MY SUCCESS STORY

I have been doing stretches, consuming eggs and dairy products daily, and recently, I started taking more vitamin D supplements. Long story short, I was walking side by side with my colleague who was noticeably taller than me, and I could sense that we're now the same height. At first, I thought I was hallucinating. Then I started trying to take stuffs from places where my hands couldn't reach a month ago. To my surprise, I didn't even need to stretch to take the stuffs. The most surprising was how easily I touched my roof that I needed to jump about a month ago to touch it. All these has happened in my 30s. It has boosted my confidence as a person. So, if you're an adult, there's a very big chance that you may not have reached your optimum height due to lack of some nutrients and exercises. Your height is based on your genetics. A good diet and exercise will allow you to meet your full potential. Conversely, a bad diet, lack of exercise and smoking could mean you might end up shorter than expected.

Great video for general health tips, (eat more protein etc) but stretching and hanging will only help to decompress the spine which varies by about half an inch daily anyway. If your posture is usually slumped, then hanging can help straighten you out but if you already have good posture, hanging and stretching won't do much for you.

I have kids and have monitored their height in weight. One thing I've found is that kids do have a different frequency of growth spurts however after the baby stage, it is generally once every 4-7 months. There's usually an increase in weight prior to the growth spurt and usually after the growth of 3-5cm, the weight actually comes back down a bit. Probably the most important thing is to make sure the child has enough protein on a regular basis prior to the spurt which becomes predictable after long enough observation if you want to make sure kids don't end up short. Seems like growth spurts can occur on solely on different parts of the body and due to variations throughout the day, it is best to measure them right in the morning for consistency. For example, my 3 1/2 year old weighed around 35.8lbs two months ago and she's been right around 41 inches since the fall however especially in the last month she has gone all the way up to 38.6lbs so it is almost guaranteed that she should end up somewhere between 42-43 inches in height within the next couple of months since the pattern has held up consistently. My guess on why this happens is that the body is naturally storing up nutrients in preparation for the bone growth, and the weight drop afterwards may be due to the spike in growth hormones. If you watch your kids long enough, it will be clearly obvious after they have a growth spurt.

The amount of height shaming in the comments section is just huge....and we never talk about height shaming but we are always talking about fat shaming and other stuff...but the fact is you can easily change your weight at most cases (im not promoting fat shaming) but you cant just change your height that much...its mostly genetic and by all these videos and stuffs you might grow for just a few inches. if you want to be a little more taller you can of course try, but can we just stop setting certain beauty stardards for both men and women?

Im 15 and I've always been eating healthy foods like eggs, vegetables, meat, milk and fruits ALMOST every single day . I also always do calisthenics workout for an hour 4 times a week like pull ups, push ups and other bodyweight exercises that'll help grow taller but I haven't grown an inch for almost 6 months now and I'm starting to get really worried 😟. (I'm 5'8 btw)

2023 EDIT : I'm turning 17 this year and I'm still 5'8 lmao anyway idrc about my height anymore even though I think it's still kinda short honestly I might grow another inch or 2 in a few more years and I'll still be happy

I was 5'7 at 13 then shot up to 6ft in a year, during that period I remember oversleeping alot on school mornings and being late everyday😂. Then I grew to 6'2 in my teens. I grew again to 6'3 and 3/4 (without shoes) from when I was 20 to 21 years old. I'm now 22 hoping if I still got more height left in me
