In my experience the canon with a monitor is too limited. You can’t touch the monitor to focus so I had to keep both monitors running. I know it’s recommended to manually focus but the canon is known for the best focusing so I opt to AF. Plus the added weight, bulk, cables, gear you have to carry around, batteries that need charging etc.
If the ninja plus recorded 120fps on R5 I would probably consider it but I’m satisfied with the internal recording of the R5, the screen is adequate, it’s light and for run and gun it’s awesome with a IS lens for video.

LOL just found this video, asked the question about the sale on the other video. Here is my answer. LOL downside I use Davinci Resolve which means I have to transcode to prores 444 or 422 before I can use. Might be looking at another 2-300$ for a transcoder, like scratch. Arg...

you gotta help me out man. i’m going crazy with my new ninja v plus. HDMI raw output won’t work. and only works when it’s not on hdmi raw output, BUT it stops recording after 2 min. i’ve tried several hdmi cables. i just bought the 89$ atomos hdmi cable. it’s my last hope. idk how to get this thing to work.

Your links are both wrong and outdated already. Not to be a bitch, but B&H link goes to an Atomos Ninja V+ 8K HDMI/SDI Monitor/Recorder Pro Kit for $1299 (with the monitor-only option available at the stated price) and the Amazon link goes to an "Out Of Stock" page with, as far as I can tell, not options available. Maybe update those links?
