Stephen Curry's shooting form is unique compared to what's traditionally been taught to players. His unique shooting form is a big part of why he's the greatest shooter ever and has been able to get off a lot of the shots he does in games, and why he has such incredible range. If you want to learn how to shoot a basketball like Steph Curry this is the video to watch, because every imaginable detail is covered!

One of the things I noticed is he almost always on his toes as he gathers (or even before he gathers), rarely if ever is he flat footed during that part of the process

As someone who has experimented with many shots this form is the best one for any amateur. Generates power but also accurate so you can shoot from pretty much anywhere. I’m making like 70% shots at least when I’m shooting around and these are pull up shots. Also no one can predict when my shots going up.

Make a video on some reads on other players. Like how to observe a team and intercept the ball during passes, what move to do when a defender does something etc

While I adore this content and watch many shooting top videos and study players shots, the best advice I would give to someone is to find the shot YOU feel the most comfortable shooting with that you can make during practice and shootint around. Whatever the heck your form looks like, if you can get to 80 percent or so in practice, and really just tinker until it feels SO comfortable every time you shoot, that’s way more imporant and mimicking one specific players shot you want to replicate. All of the best shootint coaches in the world teach this. Find the best shot for YOU with YOUR version of the best possible form. You want good form, but everyone’s body is a bit different. Some movements might be hindered for you or put pressure on your shoulder than don’t for other people. You need to find a way to be fluid and comfortable. Find the best way YOU can keep your arm straight upon release and follow through and flick the ball.

6:44 of your video. He is definitely finishing with his middle finger being the last part to touch the ball on release. Great video by the way!

Is it me or does Stephen curry do finger-rolls???? because every time he shoots I always see his 'thumb finger' on his 'guiding hand' flick when he releases.🤔🤔

I really respect this shot but my jump shot is more like MJs. Jump high with ball overhead release. Easier to block but just feels more natural for me.

can you do more shooting analysis for other players, You definitely brought up some things no other person has said about his shooting?
