Today E-thin is going over the new Sanctifying Elixir coming in Genshin Impact Natlan update. With this new system it changes artifacts forever in the 5.0 patch. Dont make the mistake of using the Sanctifying Elixir on the wrong character!

u can see in the video that each artifact requires different amount of elixirs feather needed 1 while goblet needed 4 so the percentages will even out somewhat

I would suggest to still try to farm your desired artifacts rather than to use this new system. The amount of elixir is not yet indicated how many we needed to craft one artifact but i think it will be like HSR which needs 100 fragments per 1 artifact/relic and dissolving artifact gives only 10 fragments. so you need a lot of trash artifacts to really get into this new system. Also always bear in mind that artifact rolling is still RNG based so you can craft a goblet with 2 crit sub stats but will not roll to it when upgraded.

and then you roll all to wrong stats and you need 42 days to make 1 artifact and 42 days to craft elixir

Imo, unless my DPS need EM on goblet or circlet with double crit substat, I won't use it to get EM goblet or circlet esp. if those pieces are for bloom proc like Hydro character in Nilou bloom, Kuki, Raiden(hyperbloom build) and Thoma or characters who want a lot of EM like Kazuha and Nahida bc This item doesn't just get the right piece with the right main stat but also 2 sub stats. So, 99% of the time, I would only go for elemental damage bonus with double crit sub stats.

2:18 the way to get more sanctifying elixir is 1. bp 2. 8 enhanced ( lvld artifacts) artifacts doesn't have to be fully level'd 3. world exploration

Do you want a Nahida with 1000 EM? There is no point in getting a new goblet if that is the goal, as the amount of EM will not change with this piece. It will always be 187

With the new artifact crafting system I expect:
Crafiting a Hydro goblet with Crit DMG/rate.
DEF 23, 3%, DEF 99, Crit DMG 6, 7%, Crit rate 3, 3%. 🤔
And Hoyo will get there revenge on us. "You travelers were greedy 😈, you wanted better artifacts, hehe no you will get nothing again!😈"

A few days before the livestream, I used 3 Self Modeling Resin to get Dan IL a better orb. ALL 3 of them were far, FAR worse than the Atk % he was using. Not a single one had a single crit stat. Planar set event happened recently too and all of them was fodder.
The fact that there are multiple methods of getting Sanctifying Elixirs (overworld, crafting, BP) AND you have the capability of choosing subs tells a lot.

Substats not chosen have a weighting to roll: 6 for flat stats; 4 for percent stats, ER% or EM; and 3 for Crit Rate% and DMG%.

You should always choose lower weighted substats if you want them (the lowest being Crit Rate% and DMG%).
e.g. If a perfect Goblet is: Pyro DMG% main + ATK%, EM, Crit Rate% and DMG% substats. It is better to choose the Crit substats as this leaves ATK% and EM with a 4 / (6x3 + 4x5 + 3x0) = 4/38 ~= 10.5% chance of rolling each, whereas choosing ATK% and EM would leave the crit substats with a 3 / (6x3 + 4x3 + 3x2) = 3/36 ~= 8.3% chance of rolling each.

You should always choose the substats of an item if you want them! It is significantly better than choosing only the main stat and rolling multiple times.
e.g. Even the easiest example, lets say we only want an EM main stat and ER% substat. The substat has a roughly 100% - (1 - 4/40)^4 ~= 34.4% chance to roll, which means we would expect to roll 3x EM pieces at 2 elixir each = 6 elixir to get one EM + ER% item, whereas it would only take 3 elixir to choose EM + ER%. And this is significantly worse for lower weighted stats and multiplicitively so if you want more than one specific substat.

EM main = (atk), hp if u want hp kuki 1 --- LOSE ( what u gonna do with hp%, 3 flats, def % ?) no em char need these sub.
