Nobody going to think that you want alcohol lol. For example, if you gonna say to your friend “I wanna drink”, and he sees that you were running or whatever, they’r not stupid to understand what you mean

I think saying "I want to drink" would mean that you want to drink alcohol like beer or wine. In spanish there's a similar expression: "Quiero beber" (I want to drink, in literal translation), that some people use it for mean that they want to drink alcohol, so i think in English they use that sentence for the same.
