I have been spraying WD 40 on ALL my guitar necks for donkey’s years. I have never had any ill effects to the guitar or myself. I picked the idea up from pro country players from the US in the 1970’s. Great video by the way

What oil do you recommend for cleaning the guitar fretboard after removing the strings?

I think I did this wrong because after I put my 3 thickest strings on, they didn’t turn much before they were already past the point of being in tune. My low E string didn’t even make one full rotation around the part the string goes into if that makes any sense. The three thickest string all seem to rattle a lot more than before.

I own the same guitar, however 3/6 of the blades (G, B & E) on the saddle are a bit rusty. In your opinion, should I replace them with a new saddle?

Everytime I put a string through and attempt to wind it, it just lays flat against the neck. Broke my high E string tightening it and it was still laying flat
