Trim it when it’s a meter tall, stops the seeds producing and makes larger tubers . Look up sinkamas, that’s what they call Jicama in SE Asia.

My Jicama had a accident that the tip of the stem broke, now all along the stem is starting to turn brown. It was very long as well is this bad?
