Pan Dulce | Conchas

Показать описание
Pan Dulce, specifically Conchas is a beautiful Mexican sweet bread made with a crispy and delicious topping. The colorful bread is scored on top to create pretty patterns that resemble seashells and is traditionally served for breakfast with a cup of hot chocolate or milk. A truly delicious Mexican treat that you can make at home! If you've ever had a dry, bready concha this is the polar opposite; rich, fragrant, soft as clouds and perfectly sweet.

Pan Dulce literally means Sweet Bread in Spanish and comes in many varieties often sold in Panaderías (bakeries) in Mexico. You’ll find this type of pan dulce in a variety of colors and flavors, from vanilla, cinnamon, chocolate, and anise. This might be my new favorite recipe! Let me know if there's another Mexican Sweet bread you'd like me to make :)

My husband is from Mexico and he is so excited for me to make these! He was cheering while watching this video. You’re the best, John. Edit: I made these now, twice, and they are most definitely going to be a staple in our household. ❣️

Your son is so adorable! Did you notice that he checked to see how you were holding the bun and then flipped his to match? Born to be in front of the camera.

Los panes mexicanos son una delicia, son adictivos (y la comida mexicana en general) 🤤. De las cosas que más amo de mi cultura 😍

My maternal grandmother was from Mexico and she recently passed away from bile duct cancer. I got kind of teary-eyed when I saw this video because she used to LOVE to eat these breads. They were her favorite. Sigh.

You & your son are so precious, I actually teared up!! I remember back when you announced your new fatherhood, seeing your father-son bond makes me think about all you & hubby must have gone through, and all of the memories you've made up until now.. I'm so happy for your family! ❤
