George R.R. Martin Announces 'New' Books, Calls Out YouTubers and Criticizes House of the Dragon

Yes, another video and another George R.R. Martin blog post update but this time, he was very candid about Winds of Winter and kinda calls out YouTubers for over hyping every small update as a secret "announcement" that the book is done...it's not but here's a re-release of the other ones instead! Yay?

House of the Dragon is an American fantasy drama television series created by George R. R. Martin and Ryan J. Condal for HBO. It is a prequel to the television series Game of Thrones and is based on Martin's 2018 novel Fire & Blood. Set two hundred years before the events of Game of Thrones, the series chronicles the beginning of the end of House Targaryen, the events leading up to the Targaryen civil war, known as the "Dance of the Dragons", and the war itself. The main contenders are Houses Targaryen, Hightower, Stark, Baratheon, Arryn and Velaryon.

My mother was complaining about her favorite author taking 2 years to finish the upcoming book. I laughed and broke down the 13 year gap in the ASOIAF series. But I reassured her that we have received a new cookbook, not a blog updates, a separate prequel series and a history book though!

By the way did anyone notice the change to dragon lore " If dragons were nomadic, they would have overrun half of Essos, and the Doom would only have killed a few of them. Similarly, the dragons of Westeros seldom wander far from Dragonstone. Elsewise, after three hundred years, we would have dragons all over the realm and every noble house would have a few." This is pretty significant, it tottaly shatter's the belief about targaryen's and their dragons.

I love how he specifically mentions that we can learn more about the dragon bond in all of those unfinished books of his we have been waiting for for over a decade - very helpful, thanks xD Gee, I better remember to write that down in case any of these books are ever actually released so I don't forget...
