Breaking News: Official Announcement | George R.R. Martin Finally Releasing A New Book!

Welcome back for another Game of Thrones: House of the Dragon, and A Song of Ice and Fire update video. In this video, I will be talking about the new official announcement from George R.R. Martin's NotABlog. In his recent post, George R.R. Martin announces the release date for his new book, Rise of the Dragon, a history book about House Targaryen. This new book will coincide with the release of the Game of Thrones Prequel Series, House of the Dragon, scheduled to release on HBO Max later this year.

“The Winds Of Winter” is the book I’m most looking forward to as I still love Game Of Thrones above all else. GRRM seems to be stuck in the story. He’s probably rewritten it a dozen times by now but can’t find the best way to bring all the threads of the story together in a way that satisfies him, and that he thinks will appeal to the fans. I think he’s just plain befuddled!

Back in like 2014 or something, I promised myself I'd read the asoiaf book series as soon as the newest book came out, just so that I'd be caught up in all the hype and have a huge community to talk about the series and new book with. After all, Winds was only gonna be a couple months, or at most a year or two away right? ...Right? How naive I was.

George, how about you be grateful for the success you have and finish the work that has given you the success instead of throwing yourself into every and any other project that comes your way....the fans really do deserve better and you do not deserve any more patience and haven't for a while imo

I personally love the lore and history just as much as the main series as world building is so interesting to me and really sells the realism of this fantasy world. But I’m sad for other ASOIAF fans who’ve waited decades to see a finish to the books.

I’m so over him, HBO and the whole saga. It’s been such a disappointment in every way. I’m tired of being a fan and being dismissed by the author and actors of a show/story that I have loved for years. Moving on.

I think it Makes it even more irritating to know that he has not finished this book the only ending we have is from HBO and now you’re doing prequel’s on the beginning but we already know according to HBO how it is so why care about the beginning if you know the ending

I won't buy any more of his books until he releases “The Winds Of Winter” .. Just like I can't force him to finish writing ASOIAF, he can't expect his fans to buy or watch his distractions while he keeps them waiting for the main attraction.
