I just finished watching Hachi and I cried when the wife sits down with Hachi and says “oh buddy…you’re still waiting” saddest scene in my opinion of the universe

The thing about Bambi was that Walt Disney’s top animators had a storyboard where Bambi would encounter his mother’s lifeless body shortly after the gunshot. They wanted to add it. However, Walt decided against it saying he felt it wouldn’t feel right.

I don’t care how many men, women, and children die in a movie. Once a dog dies the director has gone too far.

Hedwig deserved a way bigger mourning scene. I know she wasn't a super main character, but she deserved at least a little more.

My Dog Skip and Marley and Me really hit close to home for me now that I think about how tragic it is to lose a pet.

My beloved chihuahua of 15 years passed away about over one year ago today (7/31/21). She was always full of life and happy to see me whenever I came home from classes or work. The horrid news from the vet told me she wouldn’t live very long after checking her liver. Broke me and my family’s heart to come up with the hardest decision to have her be put down. Rest well, Cha-Cha. 🙏

I've never seen "Marley and Me", and honestly after losing my precious dog Lily last year to a heartworm-induced stroke, I don't know that I ever will. Lily was my companion and therapy dog (I have autism) and I miss her every day. I was there with her when she died, and I think a scene like that one would probably bring flashbacks.

I have watched Hachi once in my life and I refuse to watch it again. I completely bawled my eyes out. I felt that gutting feeling in my chest. I also can no longer watch Marley and Me. Sobbed my eyes out when me and my best friend watched it in theaters. In 2016 I lost my childhood dog to old age and I can't bring myself to watch Marley and Me anymore.

Ray's death in The Princess and The Frog horrified me and left me, a grown ass adult, traumatized. I can't imagine how little kids felt! That crunch especially...😱😱...good Lord!

The actor who played Simba actually lost his dad in real life not long before he had to film this scene so his emotions were all real

For some reason animal deaths in movies always hit my heart harder even than any human death. I think it's because animals seem so innocent and vulnerable... Possibly not as self aware maybe? Whatever it is, they can't take care of themselves the way a human being can. So I thought I could watch this video, but it just makes me super sad. Thanks for putting it together though! I'm sure each scene is sadder than the last, hence the name.

Being ten years old in 2005, my mother introduced me to The Never Ending Story. The scene where Artex sinks into the River of sadness hit me in the feels at the time I first saw it and I felt Atrayu’s pain. I love animals and so that scene in particular definitely scarred me.
