What Happened to Ham in Space? *Sad Story of Ham*

Ham was a normal chimpanzee. Purchased by the US Air Force at the age of 2. He was smart and fast learner compared to others.

So NASA decided to launch him in Space. On 31 January 1961, Ham was launched in space inside the Mercury-Redstone rocket.

In the beginning everything was fine but soon after launch NASA lost control and because of it Ham's rocket reached 252km in Space. Somehow they got the control back and Ham's rocket returned back to Earth.

He landed hard in the Atlantic Ocean & somehow survived the impact. That day Ham became the first chimpanzee in space.

After the flight, Ham lived all alone in a zoo for the next 17 years. Ham died on January 17, 1983.

Ham died 22 years after his historic flight into space, on January 18, 1983, at the estimated age of 26. Ham's flight is remarkable for many reasons. Ham not only survived the flight, but performed his tasks correctly, despite the rigors of space flight and the fear he must have experienced.

he was depressed when he came back from the trip, which is why he stayed alone for 17 years. he didn’t want to interact with other monkeys even though everyone tried to get him to his normal self again. human testing really had an impact on him and my heart aches for him and laika everyday. i’m just glad that he didn’t die in space.

How can such an incredible intelligent being just be left alone for 17 years like that, Animals are not a play thing that you just set aside because you’re done playing with them, he deserved a better life if fact he deserves all the praise and should be treated like royalty for his work

It was great that he did survived, but 17 years later he’s in the sky. No matter what happens to your loved ones, they will always be in your heart.

As a kid he was so happy n lively. His eyes were so gleaming with joy. Little did he knew what was going to happen with him. Every time I watch this video, I broke in tears as how cruel and bad we humans are. As he grew how sad and lonely he has to spent his rest of life
