My friend had a seizure and nearly died and it was his pit bull named Gizmo that broke out a window to get help. While he showee signs of getting better he passed away 6 months later. When it was time for the funeral Gizmo set right in front of the casket and whimpered, but when people were leaving and nobody was looking Gizmo managed to jump into the casket with Michael and got small to make it hard to see. Once we found him, he showed his teeth and acted like he would bite when people reached for him. I reached in and Gizmo didn't bite because like me be was hurting. I got him out and when the burial happened he howled and cried. After we couldn't get him to eat or drink and after the 2nd day we took him to the vet and the vet said he has a broken heart and it's up to him. A female in heat was there at the same time Gizmo never cared and that was bad. 4 days later with 2 of Michael's worn shirts and all of the toys they shared Gizmo passed away. It was absolutely heartbreaking and still to the state.Draws tears from my eyes.That dog saw no life without his owner. Best friends till the end and beyond.

My father had a dog named Andrew, unfortunately my father died some time later. And exactly one year later, exactly the same day my father died, Andrew didn't wake up. He wasn't sick, he ate well, everything was fine, but he just died. They may not see death like we do, but they understand it. Sometimes we underestimate dogs. And when their favorite person passes away, so do they. They are loyal, faithful, and when they come into our lives, sometimes without realizing it, they save our lives.

my grandma passed a couple of months ago and she had an emotional care animal a tiny shih tzu for 3 years before her passing named teddy. he would bark and bark and bark all the time no matter what, very protective of his loving mother. and after she passed he didnt bark anymore. its like he already knew. we dont have him anymore he passed on shortly after that as well. kindred souls those two were, thats for sure.
