So in that Korean study that showed peppermint oil mixed with jojoba oil to be more effective than minoxidil, it was being applied 6 days a week. My question is, if you did that, would you be washing your hair everyday to get it out, or would you just leave it in and wash your hair only once a week? Let me know if anyone has any insight, thanks!

I'm about to start my own experiment, because I've been using Minoxidil for about 16 months. Sometimes I could swear there was more hair on the top of my head, while other times I really doubted it. Meanwhile, it is bloody expensive, and the version for women, which is weaker (2% vs 5%) is sold in singles, therefore costs more. I've bought peppermint essential oil and learning how to apply it, but while it is said to dilute it, we were not told with what? Thank you to people in comments who suggested jojoba or emu oil.

Bulletproof plan :
- Get a portable steam room
- Dilute water with eucalyptus and frainkensense oil.
- Sit inside steam for 15 mins and massage your scalp
- Hop out and apply peppermint oil + lavender thats dilluted in coconut oil on scalp.
- Hop in and massage scalp with oils in them.
- Get out and enjoy the benefits of a steam room + openning up your pores for the oil.

Do this for 5 days out of the week and youll notice a difference.

What a like to do with any hair oil, is apply after I shower and blow dry. Sometimes this issue though is that it makes my hair look greasy.
Should I apply a hair oil before blow drying?

I fail to see how a shaved animal that doesn't suffer from baldness is any kind of measure of peppermint oil's effectiveness in reversing baldness. If anything, it might help grow hair from existing follicles that aren't stuck in the vellus phase, but this isn't any kind of evidence that it reverses anything. However, all you have to do is just say "natural" or "essential oils, " include a haphazard study, and just watch all the wacky people come running.

So, with minoxidil, your gains will be lost if you stop taking it. Will this happen wil PEO growth as well?

As minoxidil has a shedding phase prior to the growth phase, does peppermint oil have a similar process? I've been using peppermint oil for roughly 2-3 weeks now and have been seeing slightly more hair fallout since I've been applying the oil along with pumpkin seed oil, baobab oil, and saw palmetto topically.
