Why I will never buy a Charvel guitar ever again!!

Ignore the fret stickers! Its for my baby boy. 2016 Charvel San Dimas in slime green. It's advertised to have 2000 series Floyd Rose but instead a get a special!

Bro. How much did you pay for the guitar? It’s normal to find Floyd Specials and there’s nothing wrong with them in my experience. I’ve never had any issues with mine.

Did you buy this second hand. All the MIM charvels I have had came with the frt1000 socal and san Dimas . My Jackson SLX has the special but it was stated in the advertising . Someone has replaced that, either in the shop or a previous owner

Ok but besides the Floyd Rose what about the rest of the guitar? Is the rest of it salvageable? I love the feel of the necks and I'm highly considering purchasing one. I don't want my hopes on this purchase dashed already even among all the other positive reviews.

Is it used?? I've had 2 pro mods. A 2016 and a 2021, San dimas and so cal. Both had 1000 series Floyds and they're great

The Floyd Rose Special is not stock for a MIM San Dimas 2013-22. Someone other than Charvel, got to that guitar before you. Fact.

As a professional luthier of 30 years there’s not a damn thing wrong with the special. Granted it may not last as long as a OFR, but that would never make me say I’d never buy a charvel again. It’s all about price point. Would you rather they put on a OFR and then skimp on tuners, pickup, pots, truss rod and maybe even which side of the ocean it’s made because that’s what they have to do to keep the guitar at the price point it’s at.But to each his own.

What do you want on it? You can replace the bridge with an ofr for a couple hundred dollars and sell that one for close to 100 so that’s no problem. If you don’t understand a Floyd that’s on you. We need more info

Pretty damn easy to upgrade a Floyd rose to a German made one. This is a dumb reason 🤷🏻

FR Special is not stock for MIM Charvels. Your problem should be with the person who sold you the guitar not Charvel.

i have never played a bad charvel, and the jackson adrien smith x series( cheapy, suposedly), has a fr special and it never goes out of tune, if you're a trem snob, why did you buy the mexican one ?
