Sounds like a helicopter mom! Ease up mom. He sounds fine. Dad is great and only dad can teach him to be a man!👍🤗🙏

*He won't succeed if you are controlling. Guide him and advise him but don't control his life.*

Being overprotective won't do him any good it may harm him instead, let him go his way and just be there when he needs you.

She knows she is overprotective. I understand. It's okay, Mom, to trust God and let your son grow.

My mother interfered allot when I was in college. I was not a straight A student but I was slowly trying to understand my footing until she over involved herself to the point that I just backed off. Mothers if you want a successful Son, Let him be where he is. We find our own path when you leave us.

I needed to hear this as well. Good reminder to just relax. It's so hard raising Black Boy's in America. Gotta push them hard but not away. God watch over and protect all our youth.

So glad you pointed out to her the good stuff about her son being with his Dad. So often us women don't understand the value of son's and Dads when Dad is willing.

She seems like a nice mom...just a little overprotective. Dad's doing a good job & got him on the right track. So chill.

He will become a greater success by learning life lessons along the way, not by living underneath your wings. So instead of going down to that college and embarrassing that young man, teach him how to talk to his professors and the president himself. The parent teacher conference days are over now. Time for him to enter adulthood.

From my own experience back home!!! Overprotection on children causes too much harm on children!!!, they run out of home through the fences etc etc

I understans her. Love she recognizes she is overprotective. And I completely understand she can see how far he can go and she want him to get there and knows how to get him there.

Here. Since I've gone through this, is to be ok that he doesn't reach his full potential whem she knows he can. He'll reach there later. The problem is that if you do not allow it, his ability to make great decisions don't develop. Because mom has been making them for him.

College decisions are tough, but life's decision are much tougher. He'll make mistakes, but he'll learn to make better decisions. He will want your advice now. And by the time life hits, he can survive.

That's going to be very very bad for your son, Momma... Give him opportunities to make his own decisions.
