So many people feel like they have to be in a relationship all the time. That's not the case. Figure out who you are, what you like and then you will know what type of relationship you want. This will stop people from getting hurt and from hurting people...

I agree with what has been said by Mr. Harvey and in the comments. I'd like to add that you can have a relationship and still have time to yourself. I feel that is a healthy way of doing things. You also need to be happy being single before you can be happy being married. She does need a year of Eat, Pray, and Love to find herself and what she wants.

For every person alive....Its about balancing the 24 hrs. you have. How much to spend of it, and with whom, or doing what, etc. It needs to be managed properly if one is going to be happy. This includes 'self'-time' - very important to recognize this. And women need to be with other women part of that time, too. Time with God. Family. There one's career. Groceries and other shopping...with or without a companion (female or male), entertainment with or without a companion, hobbies with or without a companion. Andd, re-balance as needed; nothing is written in stone. When others are in one's orbit, for an afternoon, or lifetime....its still a 24 hr. time frame. Find out who and what matters, including one's self, and you'll be at peace. Establish your own 24 hrs. THEN see how someone else manages his/her 24. Marriage doesn't = 48 hrs. Its still 24. Make it work no matter how many players are in the game...one, two or 75! Just remember you only have 24 hrs. Fill it with wonder, and be careful who you invite to share it with you. : )
