When I met my man a year ago, he wasn’t making much and was financially unstable but right after we started to date, he changed his job to a better one, trying to pay his debts, and still looking to increase his income .. he is working on getting back to school .. he sat plans and goals that include us .. he never once said that we can’t move forward because of his finances ( with around 30k).. he proposed to me 7 months of our relationship .. it is not a 10 thousands dollar ring but I love it .. even his family said he became a new person.. btw I have never asked him once to change anything in himself for me .. he did it because he loves me ..
Girls don’t waste your time chasing and waiting for someone who doesn’t want to be with you or trying hard to be with you

Perfect advice ! I left my husband of 19 years. Nothing was going to change. I was 20 when I married him and left when I was 39. Did not want to be 40 and regret. I remarried when I was 49 and still married to a wonderful man for 18 years.
Leave this guy and find a finer guy. 💗💗💗

Starting over after 6 years is better than wasting another 20 unhappy

Steve is so right. You give a men 2 options - to treat you right, or leave. Everytime I set those boundaries to some guy I dated, that revealed their true intentions with me.
Dear ladies, don't be afraid letting someone leave if it is perfectly right thing to do. As Steve said, some breakups are blessing. It is much healthier to stay single instead of being desperate and investing yourself in guys who are not good for you.

I’ve been right where she’s at. It was either I would put in another 6 years with a guy who wouldn’t commit with marriage or I walk away. It ripped everything out in me to leave but I knew I deserved better. My man I’m with now proposed in 8 months, we have a house and two cats. Getting married this spring 💕 When someone shows you who they are believe them and don’t try to paint them into something they aren’t.

I'm broke AF; I decided not to go into a relationship because I ain't ready yet.

Stop wasting another man's daughter time. Set that baby free & join us my brother.

The fact that he don’t like titles speaks volumes! She refer to him as her friend. Read between the lines baby girl. He is not looking to commit period. In so many words he’s making that clear.

Damn I started crying when he was talking about his mother. The teachings our parents give us. We keep them so we can pass them along as we meet people. ♥️ this is how we make our world a better place.

No matter your age, I wish more women would 'get' Steve's advice before investing all these years in such relationships. Sheesh!!

That is priceless advice. "Get rid of that old car sitting up on cinder blocks."

Her outfit and smile are amazing. Hopefully she gets her ‘new car’.

My best friend from high school met this guy when she was 24, she spent not 5, not 10 years, but 18 years in love with this guy who never settled down on anything..finally after all those wasted years she moved on continued living her life, working hard, and one day she met a new guy (momma's boy) she spent 5 years dating this unemployed careless guy, she used to pay anytime they went out and finally one day she called me to tell me the good news: the guy finally proposed.. she paid for almost everything for her wedding reception, but she looked so happy at her wedding day that I felt little guilty for being so harsh sometimes about the guy, but only after 6 or 7 months into her marriage the mom's guy kicked her out of the house ( yeap the guy took her to live at his mom's house, with Mom included), the guy continue living with mommy and never tried to go after my friend and live as a couple in their own place. Long story short: she's been waiting on this dude to settle down for a total of 15 years by now...she is 50 years old now and she wasted years and years of her life on men who now are happy married or dating someone else. LADIES believe me this is a real life story.. don't waste time on a man who doesn't wants to commit believe me doesn't worth it. Don't waste your time because that time will never ever came back...

Very good advice Steve. The worst mistake we make in life is to settle. For a partner we know is incompatible, friendships that lack mutual respect, jobs that are beneath our capabilities. It takes internal strength to know when to say enough and walk away.
