Great video - and thanks for the shout out! We have been BIG fans of the 22 Creed for a long time and are very excited that Hornady submitted it to SAAMI. We'd be happy to get you hooked up with a rifle and ammo to try it out.

I love my 22 CM. I’ve had it for three years with confirmed kills out at 550 yards on P-dogs with 60 grain V-max bullets and 285 yard on white tails with the Barns 78 grain. People are going to love this cartridge!

I can’t wait to see the 204 creedmoor, then the 17 creedmoor, and then the creedmoor creedmoor.

Should’ve added the 220 Swift to the comparison chart!

25 Creedmoor (offically) would have been more interesting. Also expecting 30 or 375 Creedmoor. But, 27 PRC (6.8 western replacement) would really have made things interesting.

I have been running 80gr ELD-M in a fast twist .22-250 for years. Hitting 3280fps...it really is a laser. Maybe when I burn my barrels out I will switch, but it has been one of my favorite rifles.

Interesting the development of the 22 Creedmoor to the point of production ammunition. The question will be if the 6mm is roughly half the barrel life of the 6.5. What will the round count drop to for the.22 caliber?

This is awesome! I just finished a 22 creedmoor custom build. So excited to put some rounds through it!

I’ve used a custom built 22-284 for years. Gradually moving up in weight as more bc efficient bullets emerged. Currently 95gSierra @3400mv 2439ME 14.7” drop @400yds with 100yd zero and 7.07” wind drift. Deer with proper bullet placement just collapse in their tracks. Foxes often just blasted pelts of no value.

your enthusiasm about ballistic improvements is awesome and refreshing hearing you say "yeah its pretty much been done before... but its cool"

Not the news I was looking for. Should have been the 25 Creedmoor...

As someone who doesn't have a 22 cal hunting rifle, this looks really appealing. Hopefully the rifle manufacturers will be just as into it, so a variety of rifle options are out there. It also could be a great target or precision shooting for a youth.

6xc doing everything the creedmoor does for nearly 20 years.
And yes it was sized up and down to do all of this a decade ago.

I built a 22 Creedmoor about 6 months ago and it's a great cartridge. Only shoot steels with it out to 850 yards so far. Its very accurate and really flat shooting. 75 Grain Eld-M about 3500fps out of my 26" 7 twist barrel, 2 mils elevation at 600 yards, 4 mils at 850
Recoil is very minimal and its fun to shoot
