I was so cut off from communications in Lenoir NC I didn't have any idea how serious flooding and wind damage was, so shocking. My food was all ruined no electricity, my neighbor was so kind he brought me food. There are still caring people out there.

I don’t think we have seen such widespread destruction in my lifetime. Tragic. My heart goes out to those who are living through this. And my prayers for those who lost loved ones

Hope that man sees this. My grandson is at WCU. I got a message from him this afternoon. School is feeding students. No internet, cell is sketchy…roads washed out…no student injuries reported. School closed for the week. Students can use landline phones to call out. Hope this gives you a little peace of mind.
