I have trio citizenship, Brazilian, Canadian and Hungarian but with what Canada is doing I'm thinking of giving up my Canadian citizenship, for me Canada is an overrated country.

This is absurd. What have the citizens of any country got to do with the choices of their politicians? Unless they are actually participating, it really is crazy.

It is stunning to me that the international community is so willing to discriminate against the Russian people for the actions of the Russian government. The unintended consequences of this is that the international community is essentially removing options for dissenters. I find this practice of hurting the Russian people because of a disagreement with the Russian government morally reprehensible.

The best bet for most normal citizens of any country is to find a small place outside of any city, where one can grow food and have a small farmstead.

With limited resources I just left Canada with the sole purpose of creating a Plan B . Been listening to you for a couple of years Andrew . It's amazing what you are doing, thanks . I no longer recognize the country I grew up in . So as you always say " Go where you're treated best " . Lots of options out there .

As a Russian that had to move due to bank sanctions I and many other Russians would greatly appreciate a video, short on where to look for second citizenship. As an Asian-Russian would be cool to hear your thoughts on Asian passports. I remember you talking about Asia preferring big capital ( like Thai Elite) but what if my assets are frozen inside Russia and I simply cannot take them out or sell because of currency volatility.

Congratulations Andrew, I liked very much your absolutely neutral and professional analysis of the real situation. Personally I'm fully agree with your point of view and with your consideration.

They are most definitely upset about digital nomads in Europe, Canada, and the USA extricating themselves from the Western tax base by for Europeans and Canadians, moving to Dubai & setting up a free zone company, and either living there for a year or living briefly in a country with rules that allow them to be tax resident in a low or no tax country while living there for 2 months or less. After you are no longer in the European or Canadian tax system, until you legally become resident there again, I do not presently see the UAE chasing you down to tax you while you continue a digital nomad lifestyle seeing the world.

The US is upset that backpackers earning up to $120k a year or maybe a bit more if they utilize travel expenses appropriately and add the right income channels to their mix of strategies are escaping the US tax system to a large degree. They are far more upset that those people are using the tax savings to buy a Caribbean passport and renouncing their citizenship, but what they really hate is money is being spent by those "citizens" ie slaves, in other countries. What they really don't like now is that people because of YouTube are seeing people who grew up in their "first world countries" experiencing a better quality of life in poor "third world countries" with lower tax burdens, more to do, lower costs of living inspiring others to leave the rat race they created in their countries.

I mean the "first world" already has a labor shortage because Westerners are telling people in the "third-world" the opportunities are better or at least as good in your home country as they are in the "wealthy" countries. Those same people are seeing those same videos in their country. They have labor shortages exacerbated by the fact that a person with a laptop and an Etsy store can make up the salary or wages from their low wage job selling trinkets and trash online while working 10 hours a week.

They have the problem of many people ditching apartments and houses for life in a Van because minimalism and an unencumbered simpler life allows people to work less not only fueling a labor shortage, but also hurting the real estate investor market.

But when people begin to decide to leave for greener pastures by deploying those minimalist strategies, they know they cannot allow travel to be as easy as it has been in recent years. It is very bad for their incumbent player advantages.

Well, I'm not rich enough to do 'citizenship by investment'. Most countries take 5 years to get citizenship unless you get married to a citizen, then it still take a long time. Still thinking of moving from the US to Mexico in NomadDad territory, but at age 65 I doubt I'll be around long enough to get another citizenship. The cat show thing was really stupid.

Yesterday’s news : a dual U.S./ Russian citizen has ben indicted as a spy after a ten- year of ongoing investigation! Good thing for her is that she fled NYC one month after her place was raided by the fucking FBI ! Now she is safely back in Russia but she dodged a bullet for sure ! So, folks, keep this in mind when you think you can swing back and forth between the Western countries and the East. Pick a side and forget traveling . I ‘d rather watch those places online than being forced back home once landed or worse being arrested . My ideal place, from now on, is one of those secluded and semi - deserted small islands in the middle of the ocean, with the least number of people around . End of the story .

IMHO, One of the biggest problems with second passport is the the people who need it the most, can not afford it. However, this is true for many other aspects in life like - food, health services, and personal safety.

Just took a look at my US passport and was hoping NOT to get profiled, but sure as hell my "place of birth" says "Russia" 🤦‍♀️. Its amazing how selfish agendas of my birth country get ME restricted and limited LIKE I CHOOSE TO BE BORN IN A SPECIFIC COUNTRY!!!
P.S. Cats didn't choose ether, think of the cats!

The other countries are anticipating on a spike of people seeking to leave "western" countries, from Ukraine, Belarus and Russia. So they are getting ahead of this curve. For example, Mexico used to look the other way and let perpetual tourists stay 6 months at a time. Leave for a day or a week and return for another 6 months. Tourists are no longer granted 180 days by default. Now Mexico is cracking down on such practice and require people planning to stay longer term to get a residency visa (FM2 or FM3) with a higher minimum financial solvency threshold.

Some countries, like the UK and Australia, have only the city, not country, of birth. Japan lists only the official domicile (where your family register -- koseki -- is located), so naturalised Japanese citizens don't have a foreign place of birth in their Japanese passports.

After following you over the years and not a 7 figure earner. I took your advice and glad I have started the process.
Thank you

I always feel safe regardless of what is happening in the world. Having said that I do feel glad about my dual citizenship (Dutch and Colombian). EU + Mercosur = 27 + 9 countries I could easily move to.

I've been thinking about this as well. I told myself I need to make a decision on my plan B this year.
