Thirdly, Greece is not naturalizing holders of their golden visa program. There are currently people waiting 10+ years to be naturalized who are not of Greek descent. Greece prioritizes Greek heritage over non-ethnic Greeks.

This is why you should never listen to a Youtuber or anyone else who is not a qualified professional.

In this case I find it OK for Malta. Those foreigners buy residential properties and make prices go high creating a demand much higher than the supply. If they want to really "invest", they can always create an LLC and invest there without a permit of residence for themselves as physical persons.

If you think of this from a countries point of view, it does make sense to have some hurdles for citizenship - at least a language hurdle. But Malta has English as one of it's official languages, so I don't really understand why the EU is complaining... Who cares if a few rich Russians or Chinese get away from their dictatorships? What's such a big deal here?
