Will it help if I switch off the watch ?

My Apple Watch is only a year old. It always has held a charge for at least a day and a half.
Just in the past three days, it goes dead less than 12 hours. Any ideas I’ve already checked, but I don’t see any changes in the watch in the past few days of new apps or anything else

I mean it helps, but then why disabling every possible application or feature to save battery? Aren't those apps and feratures casued you to buy a SMARTWATCH rather than a regualr watch?

Crap I have a 2 that I hardly used after Covid hit and now the battery is draining after 4 hours of THAT. But I have it on the charger ALL THE TIME …wonder if that’s a problem as well because even though it’s a 2 I only got 2 years wear on it 😢

Sorry to complain. But my Series 7 is only a little over a month old. It worked really great with all features and didn't even notice any reduction in battery. Only charged over night. Then about the time, maybe cause?, of the 15.6.1 update something changed. Last several days dead within 6 hours. So I removed the face where I had complications as I thought that may be a contributing factor because of some funky display of Carrot Weathers complications. It made no difference. I put on at 7:00 and is now 50% Will be dead between 2-3 p.m. I just want it to work like it did. I agree. The suggestions will maybe get me the time of day, BUT THAT IS NOT THE REASON I UPGRADED FROM MY SERIES 3. IT WAS TO HAVE FEATURES. REMOVING THEM IS NOT A SOLUTION. ☹

Did I understand it correctly - we must "reduce motion" be turned off _twice_ to save battery? Does Apple reset the setting, the first time we try to turn 'reduce motion" on?

This is a video but not really showing anything useful. Most would have read the title and thought this will resolve the issue that some of us are facing where the battery drain is experienced after an update to the latest watch OS. This video is showing how to switch everything off and making it in to a Casio watch. Sorry but I was misled probably by the title stating FIXED.

So pretty much turn of all useful information/services that most people use apple watches/ the whole reason most folks have watches in the first place. While I do understand that if you need to squeeze out another hour or so, turning off most of the information provided basically leaves it as a $25 casio😂 thanks for the video though!

Every OS update, I go thru this same BS: rapid unexplained battery drain. I reboot the watch repeatedly until it goes back to normal drain. If Apple is playing games to compel us to upgrade to a new watch, I will make damn sure to purchase a non-Apple watch.
