You guys are life savers. I got a second hand Apple Watch Series 5 off Facebook for £30 (the screen was cracked and fallen off but I paid an extra £30 to get the screen stuck down) and the battery life is not the best. This video helped a lot. One thing though, don’t turn off the optimized charge limit because it can damage the battery if it changes up to 100% and stays on charge at 100% for too long.

I stopped the raise to wake and doubled my battery life from that alone. What's also good is as soon as you turn the watch away the display turns off immediately too.

For part 16, i usually hold the power and crown button to force restart it every once in a while, it helps

Hey, what was the outcome of the whole thing? How much longer do your battery last now? Thanks for the video 😊

Hmm, maybe I missed it. But what settings need to be on that you recommend off why you want to turn off optimized settings? I feel like this is a good setting to leave on for battery longevity

If you’re using grid view instead of list view. Reduce motion is very noticeable.

I use to get 5 days on a battery. Charge and one day it went to just 1 day and has stayed there. Hopefully this will get me some time back

I followed the advice from other YouTubers and your previous video on this subject and now my battery lasts almost two days.

I got my Ultra 2 about 4 days ago; I have only placed it on charge when I shower, and so far, it is currently on 80% battery life, which is incredible and works for me. That includes using it for workouts and monitoring all health and sleep activities. I have not used it for music or anything else so far.

Thank you, this was so helpful! I want to get the Apple Watch SE, and my main concern is the battery life. This should help make it last longer!

OK, losing my mind here. I am fortunate that I kept this video so that when I actually purchased an Apple Watch, your posting guided me.

For a time I had a "spartan view" as you describe it (as shown at 4:32). Just that simple digital clock when I wanted to see the time and NOT burn battery!

Somewhere along the line I was experimenting with Settings (yeah, dumb I know) and lost this feature. It's something to do with "Always On Display" but none of the three changes in Settings seem to work for me. Can you please give me the necessary steps to recreate that look at 4:32? Thanks again for this terrific video.

Is it ok to let the battery get to the red? Mine is newer SE2 just got but I wear all day and night then charge to 100% in the am before I leave. It got to red a few times with running killing the battery. Should I avoid doing sleep tracking when low to charge overnight instead so no red at 10-15% battery life in the am?

I am new to Apple Watch. Where do I find the PDF file for this video?

Leave optimized charging on. When the watch is not charging it is doing nothing. When this feature turns on and you switch to charge to full it will turn itself off. This feature keeps your watch from staying on 100 percent all night when you charge which is not good for a battery
