RIP Diana Rigg... you were about 30 years old as you made this movie. Same age as George Lazenby. Incredible, that this is now more than 50 years ago, and you are gone... I loved your pretty nose... I miss you, I miss this time. 😢❤

I think it was amazing that Dame Diana Rigg actually did the driving on that demolition derby style Ice rink. She may have done some of the other driving as well. I noticed that when Diana rigg is really concentrating she tends to pucker up her mouth and she did that a lot in that Mercury Cougar which has to be one of the worst cars to drive on ice. That big engine up front and no weight in the back although I suspect that the crew put a bunch of sandbags in the trunk to give that thing some traction. I saw a letter from Diana Rigg to George Lazenby complaining about his cursing at her when she had trouble backing up that monstrous Mercury Cougar on ice. The driving stunt coordinator actually complemented Diana Rigg on her driving. He said she was a natural rally car driver. She had no practice in a big car like that she spent the years prior driving a 1100lb Lotus Elan and her original Mini Cooper in England. She actually did a lot of driving on the Avengers, Patrick Macnee didn't like driving so he rarely drove any of those classic Bentleys and when he did he stayed in second gear I don't beleive he even knew how to change gears in those old cars, but he disliked driving so his stunt driver did almost all the driving. The scenes where we see him driving is with a fan going and scenery projected behind the car. I think Diana Rigg not only liked driving but was a bit of a lead foot. I know she wrecked one of the Lotus Elans at least once because she commented that she was amazed to see all the fiberglass scattered all over.

Hi Julio, this is absolutely top shelf! One of my favourite Bond movies (not just because I am Australian). George Lazenby and Diana Rigg were absolutely fabulous on screen together - though I realise they were not necessarily friendly off screen. By far my favourite Bond car also, the 1969 Mercury Cougar XR7. You exquisite filming and comparisons then and now are some of the very best I have ever enjoyed. Happy to subscribe for more of your videos - truly professional in every sense!! Thank you, Mark.

I love the attention to detail, and the fact on the clock you took the picture at the same time it was in the film ;) Great investigative work and lining up of photos

Julio, thank you for your effort. You raised the bar for every "then and now" video. I like the the fact you give the viewer time to compare old and new footage.

It's amazing how the old structures remain after all these years, even the wooden ones.
