Having the classic 007 theme playing during an epic battle scene is something that needs to be done more often

This scene has it all. The looks, the tension, an epic battle of two clearly distinguishable armies against each other intercut with a gritty one against one fight, Bond on ice, Helicopters, sunsets like in Michael Bay's wet dream, crazy scientists throwing acid like in a video game, the Bond theme, flame throwers, a ticking clock and a big explosion to wrap it up. Gold standard direction!

Tracy is a great example of a strong female character, they don't have to give her unrealistically good abilities, she doesn't have to constantly remind the audience that she's a female, her actions speak for themselves, props to the writers and Diana Rigg.

5:22 talk about a very different era... Still this is a product of its times and should be appreciated as a great film of the era. The action and cinematography is outstanding. I will be visiting the Schilthorn in a couple weeks and look forward to seeing where this was films.

I am visiting Schilthorn right now - the stunning peak in the Swiss Alps. In the emblematic round building on top there is a museum dedicated to the Bond film and making of the movie.
The natural setting is just simply so beautiful that it is hard to understand somebody's imagination to want to destroy it...

Man, this scene brings back memories. 
In 2019, I visited the actual Piz Gloria atop Schilthorn in Switzerland where this movie was filmed. Yes, the building is still there (they only blew up a model - surprise surprise), and it's got a rotating restaurant, a 007 museum, and a trail along the mountainside with views every bit as spectacular as those in the film. It's a must-visit for any Bond fan.
