Why I closed my Etsy shop and launched my own website 🎨 (my ongoing journey to sell art online)

Here is why I closed my Etsy shop and decided to launch my own website through squarespace in my ongoing journey to learn how to sell art online. I’m sharing my experience and mistakes so you can learn faster than me! I also share cozy art vlog every weekend and show my creative process in the art studio. Hope all this will inspire you, fellow artist and art lover, to paint with me and join the fun.

This video is so perfect!! I absolutely love your point of view on Etsy (there’s so many things I didn’t even think about for using them as a selling platform!), Etsy has value in some aspects but nothing is perfect, and it sounds like it would be so stressful dealing with the algorithm.

Question: does Square space offer services with accepting payments from clients? Or is that something you have to deal with independently?

You are correct! I closed my Etsy account too!
They actually put me in Etsy collections & banned me from accessing my private account because they said I didn't pay 3 cents! First you ever tried to pay 3 cents? Banks won't do that lol! So I paid 1 dollar @ have a forever credit balance. They are just like predatory lenders!

Etsy is a cesspit now. People are getting their accounts shut down for no reason. False reporting of shops and fake bad reviews from petty, jealous angry artists
