The most important thing is that you’re ok. Mentally, physically, etc. just take care of you. We stand behind you in support. Give yourself time. ♥️

❤I understand where you're coming from in this video. As someone who also went through a few mental breakdowns related to business, this video came at the perfect time. I also decided to close my physical business and switch my direction because of losing passion. It's refreshing to see a video like this coming from you; a video that speaks to the average joes lol All these tik tok blow ups will have us all thinking we're behind. Thank you

Yes!!! I just went through this exact thing: realizing I was doing too much, going through a move, and took a giant break. We definitely need to be kinder to ourselves. I’ve restricted wholesale customers to a minimum because I felt exactly as you did. Thank you for sharing Tara and showing the reality of success. It’s not all sunshine and rainbows: it’s a TON of work. Good luck with your move! My mentals improved immensely once I separated my workspace from my living space ❤️

Thank you for all you do. Your not screwing us over. We rather you feel good and healthy. You teach us so much. I know the feeling about packaging packages and being anger. Keep up all the work that you do

I hope you get the break you need. Owning a business is really hard work and when you’re the only person doing it, it consumes you. Been there. Take your time and heal, and I hope you feel better soon and get your head & heart where you want & need it ❤️ I’ve battled depression and anxiety my whole life, and own a business, and have a family to take care of, so from someone a few (11) years older than you, my unsolicited advice is to enjoy your youth. I spent the entirety of my 20s grinding and burned out so badly I crashed and burned hard, and it still affects me. Take time to enjoy your life and youth, your boyfriend and the joy of owning a home, and reconnect with your friends! Friend/girl time always boost your serotonin levels, and it sounds like you could really use some of that. People will get over you taking a reprieve. There’s no Taralee Skincare without Tara, so take good care of yourself and do things that bring you joy ❤️ sending love and healing vibes ✌️

this is soooo real. Especially for us business owners. We put everything into our work, live and breathe it and forget to actually make time for connection, play and adventure. We just completely exhaust ourselves. Finding that balance is hard but you have done the right thing by taking a step back and allowing yourself some breathing room to realign and re-energize. We could all learn a thing or two from you Tara. Thank you for being so vulnerable with us and sharing the REAL struggles of what lifes like behind the scenes . Would love to hear the full version aswell :D xx

Not going to lie, I was almost going to cry when I saw your shop closed, since all I use now is your rose face wash and glycolic toner, and I'm almost out. I totally understand that when you run your own business it takes over your life, but it is also your business, and the income is unlimited. The first couple of years are the hardest, because you have to put the most in. It's definitely important not to let yourself get burnt out.
Maybe your business has grown to the point that you need some help. Like hiring someone to do the tasks that you don't want to deal with in your etsy shop (filling bottles, packing up orders and mailing them out, accounting, those sort of things), then you can focus on creating the products and the things that really bring you joy to do. Even having someone edit videos for you, because I know how much time editing takes up.
The most successful people start off doing everything themselves, but eventually hire help, because our time is worth money. Paying people to do the tasks that don't need to be done by you, can free up more time for you to focus on those things you really want to be doing.
Glad you are taking time for yourself, I have my etsy email notification on so that I know when you reopen 😊👍.

Thank you so much for sharing! This is very real! I’ve been there multiple times over the 10 years I’ve been in business. So many different things happened and it is overwhelming. But a strong person knows when to stop. I’m proud of you. Take all the time you need and we’ll be here when you’re ready 💜💜

Thank you! It's so refreshing to see the truth of success and the tolls it takes on us. A big squeezy hug from a complete stranger that understands; and remember, each new day heralds a new beginning x

Hello Tara, thank you for sharing this real honest video. Just wanted to say I have been following you for over a year. I started my own cosmetic business at the age of 38! (end of 2020) after 15 years in Financial career. I still work, but believe it or not I actually get inspired a lot by your journey and videos on Youtube. You are doing incredible and all I can see the only for you is go up. I wish you all the success and congratulations with the new house!. P.S I started my own channel too called Ziver Organiques ( your influence lol) 😁🙌🏻🌸

I completely understand you Tara. As an ER doctor myself and also formulating my own skin care, it can be hectic and it is mandatory to take breaks and just step away from work. You have to find an outlet or else it will truly affect you in a negative way. Enjoy your growth and be proud of how far you have come. I've been following you for quite some time and I actually got some of my lab equipment because of your suggestions

Oh girl, I feel your pain. The most important thing you can do is take care of yourself. Take the time you need to rest and reenergize yourself. Your customers and clients will understand. Good luck!

So proud of you for listening to your wise inner voice that’s telling you it’s time to tend to yourself. It’s absolutely important to give yourself rest. Let your mind, body and spirit heal. Please make sure you’re prioritizing sleep, eating, and stress management because women are so susceptible to taxing their adrenals and hormones when living in stress.
Hustle culture is so toxic and I applaud you for not being afraid of dropping the hustle for your well being. 💚

Thank you Tara not just for your posts but for this brave honesty. I'm weirdly relating to many followers-your posts also inspired me to start my own business. I've also worked myself sick and nothing is worth your health....and so I may be closing my business as well this year despite breaking through all those initial hurdles. So it's nice seeing that this message is out there for those that may be sacrificing too much. Business ownership is no joke esp when you're the only one there to decide when to take a break! Be well, take your time to recover and congrats on all those other milestones!
