My feeling is that they just ban shops randomly, even if you follow all the suggested, they do it without reason and without warning and without explanation.

They do ban shops randomly. We went through the policies with a fine tooth comb and ensured we didnt violate anything.
Still suspended. No explanation. Denied appeal.
And still no clue what problem even was

My shop was suspended after a year and a half. 570 clients and business is gone. Yeah - NOT I created a Shopify store alongside when I built my shop ahead of time. Why would I give Etsy that much control over my business?That’s stupid and if you don’t protect yourself- good luck! What’s crazy is I still had access in my account (never logged out) and got all my money left. Then I scraped all the emails for all orders and downloaded the data for all orders to email each client letting them know I moved off Etsy. Although I was annoyed by this, I was already set up outside of Etsy to stay IN CONTROL of my business - not Etsy. If you’re selling - you have a viable business - create your own website and protect your assets. I did not sell anything Disney or any other violations, but when you don’t get answers as to why they did this - I was done. Bye Etsy!

A few months ago I tried to open an Etsy shop and I put my billing information wrong (different card than the one listed on the shop). I didn't know that was a problem. I eventually closed that shop (months later) and tried to open a new one, with all the correct information, and all the listing information and quality photos, and I even wanted to sell my own photography, so no copyright uses there, and they wouldn't even let me finish the shop setup with the authentication process, I got a banner again saying I was suspended again...

Ya I have 15 shops running at all times on different ip, device id’s and different peoples id and banks. Currently at 12% ban rate

They suspended my shop straight away not giving me a chance to do anything. On top of that they still demanded payment for the initial listing they force you to create, even though it was removed within seconds.

I didn’t know you weren’t allowed to buy something from your own shop. I opened a digital product shop on Etsy recently and I bought 3 items total from my shop to make sure I did things right and things were working smoothly. They haven’t suspended my account yet, and it’s been probably about a week since I last bought from my shop. Should I be concerned that there is a chance they will suspend my account still? 😅

Just got banned yesterday and i see that i was off to couple of these tips.🤦‍♂
What if i m moving countries every now and then? What's happening then with my location and ip address?? Also, what if i start a new store on different ip address and move to the old one? Does it have to match with my physical address?

One of my friend bought two item from my shop using her own credit card . The etsy cancelled the transaction after few hours and banned my account but the notification shows copy infringement but no email I received from etsy about copyright infringement or suspension of shop. I reached out to etsy and after emailing them for a week it still says the shop is suspended but i have notification on my shop stating that the appeal is in process. Hi Brandon, Regarding personal information, since I am 17 years old and I already have a debit card in my bank because in my country you can have an account and a card already at 16 years old, is there any rule on the etsy platform that you have to have more than 18 years to start a new shop

I've been banned for life from Etsy because of copyright, yea 100% my fault. Do you think I'm banned by my name? Because when opening a shop or create an account, I should give my bank account (even if I can manage this), but I must give my ID, so they will see my name aren't they?
