April will be discussing:
• What is the thyroid?
• Metabolic functions the thyroid supports in the body
• Thyroid hormone synthesis from TSH to Free T3
• Symptoms of hypo- and hyper- thyroidism
• Conventional vs. Functional lab work
• The importance of getting accurate lab work and identifying the “root cause”.

April Johnson is a Functional Medicine Coach with Firefly Hollow Holistic Wellness that is passionate helping women navigate through their thyroid health and healing by identifying the root cause(s) in the body, mind, and spirit.

She personally knows how low thyroid function impacts women’s health and life as she went through it herself and healed with food, releasing past emotional trauma, and self-care. She dove into functional medicine to be able to help her clients on a much deeper level when it comes to their personalized health goals. Healthcare is not a one size fits all approach and should be personalized to the individual.

The true way to healing is looking at the body, mind, and spirit as a whole and this is what she does with her clients on their health journey.

I really enjoyed and learned a lot from this webinar. Can I contact you to receive the printout so I can take to my endocrinologist. I am see the Endo MD for the 1st time because I believe I have a hypothyroid since my mother has it and it’s hereditary. I have all the red flags of hypothyroidism and I just can’t take it anymore.
