Wow, automatics are so much easier to use! I passed in a manual, and can drive one safely but the amount of anxiety I have over stalling just takes the fun out of driving for me.

I’ve been trying on and off since my 20s in a manual and never got to grips with it now in my 50s and learning to drive in an automatic and it is wonderful, so easy and may actually finally pass my test in October

When I was 18 I was learning to drive on a manual car and it was not a very pleasant experience as I failed my driving exam 3 times because I would get so anxious that I would stall the car in traffic. I decided that driving was not for me. But then after few years I decided to try again but this time with an automatic car. I couldn't believe how easy it was to drive without having to fiddle with gears and the clutch. I passed the driving test without any issues on my first attempt. I bought my first car a week later and I've been driving it since. I love driving and I will never switch back to manual 😄
PS. I know how to drive a car with stick shift but I just don't like it.

My instructor has recommended I try automatic, rather than manual. Watching this video, I can understand why! Looking forward to my first automatic lesson on Saturday.

As someone who hasn't driven for quite a few years and the thought of restarting brings anxiety, I want to thank you for this video. Having multi camera angles was great so not only were you talking sense, I could see what you were doing. My kind of learning.

Had quite a few lessons in a manual, just couldn’t get my head around it. Just wanted to get on the road to go from A to B, so an automatic is definitely the way for me. Thank you for a very informative video, I have my first auto lesson on the 1st Jan 2022!

This is the best automatic explanation video I have seen. I used to panic that once I had set off I immediately had to gauge how much acceleration I needed and press the acceleration pedal. I realise now in an automatic I don't have to. That's a fundamental difference to me as a very nervous learner. Its something a driving tutor should point out at the point of a first lesson ideally but wasn't. I am enjoying your videos.

I have had a manual car for 2 years and have been so anxious while driving! I would get myself so nervous that I would stall the car and the more I would stall the more I would get anxious. I have watched this video and it’s amazing and has made me realise that an automatic is the car for me. I have a test drive in one tonight! 🙂🙂🙂

Thank you for this! I’m getting a car this week and haven’t driven for years and all previous experience was in manuals. This has been EXTREMELY helpful.
