Why would anyone want to pass an automatic driving test? You would be stuffed if you needed to drive a manual.

I am a new driver and just bought a Renault Clio initiale(2010) automatic. When I am doing maneuroves and have it in 'drive' or 'reverse' it sometimes creeps forward/backwards but then stops and stays still so I have to press the accelerator to get it to move which makes it go too fast during the maneurove. Is using the brake during the maneurove stopping the creep function from working when I take my foot off it?
