Two weeks ago I took a hook to the body and i wasnt tightening my core. My rib is still sore as I’m watching your video right now

Since I started train hardstyle kettlebell, I feel way more solid when I take hit to the body. The breathing pattern is very similar to what you teach here.

Thank you JT, i used to work this with abdo exercice, in mauy thai session, by hitting my abdo with my elbows. But what you showing us is training breathing. Awsome.

Thank you!! I am really weak to the solar plexus!!!! Almost every time I get hurt in sparing it is to the solar plexus. I train with amateur and pro fighters and really want to strengthen my body!!!

This is great stuff. I would recommend doing this for any of your disciplines. For example if you train muay thai doing this on your thighs and shins. You could also use objects that get firmer as you're more comfortable, like from a pool noodle to a wooden bo staff.

One thing that's usually on my mind is that after I train 1:30 - 2 hours a day (5 days a week) and have a 2 days break or even after 1 days break from boxing, I start the next week feeling sluggish and feeling like I'm getting worse at boxing, do you know why this is coach😅

Hi JT, really useful video. Many thanks for the advice. When you get some time, could you please do a short video with some tips on preparing ourselves to get hit on the head? I've mainly been doing body shot sparring at the boxing gym and have progressed onto doing a few rounds of head shot sparring, but still not confident with taking head shots. Any advice on how we might prepare ourselves to get hit on the head would be super helpful. Thanks!

I always injury my ribs or upper chest when doing some harder sparring, Will try this when my rib heals.
My question is, After some time, do they strenghten a little bit? Now I can feel even the slightest punch the day after sparring, i'm a really skinny guy. Will you start to ignore It after some time and bruising? This will be like my forth time with bruised ribs in 3 years 😅
