The world wished Superman did this. He did it, showed they really didn’t want it, and then showed he didn’t: True hero.

Superman really said "It's just a prank bro" after giving the world a collective heart attack

“Luckily, I’m not you, and I never will be, ”

Words to live by.

The fact that this basically boils down to a high quality "It's just a prank bro" is amazing in my book.

Imagine being one of the civilians saved by a super bot

"Excuse me please wait here, Superman is making a point"

"Superman doesn't have to be relatable, he has to be inspiring"
A good writer for a superman story should ALWAYS follow this code.

"In many ways, Clark is the most human of us all. Then... he shoots fire from his eyes, and it is difficult not to think of him as a god. And how fortunate we all are that it does not occur to him.” -Batman

One of the greatest comeback stories of all time. During a time when alot of comic book characters like the Authority or The Boys were preaching that its ok to take out the opposing team. Superman despite being pushed by the success of Manchester and his crew and even the world, Supes managed to hold on to his convictions.

I can just imagine Batman watching all this from his computer being like “Okay Clark-you even fooled me for a moment there.”

"Everyone knows Superman can't do magic!"
He can do the most impressive kind; Stage magic.

This is basically the answer to "The Boys" or any other type of edgelord nihilist superhero show. Love it.

Superman is truly the ultimate expression of hope when it comes to superheroes. You can look at all the bleak superhero deconstructions like The Boys or everything Frank Miller has done but at the end of the day Superman is none of those things. He is a man who has deep seated morals and god like powers who struggles everyday to do the right thing without crossing the line. He is what every hero aspires to be and almost never achieves. A true beacon of hope and justice in a cruel world.

Biggest prank Superman has ever pulled.

I love Superman stories like this, they aren't about power struggles, and sure their world view may be a little simplistic, but that's what makes it great. He's the guy who at the end of the day knows he doesn't have all the answers, just that he's aiming for the right spot. Hope, Justice, Dreams.

Superman is such a boy scout.

But that’s what makes him great.

"Good Dreams Save us, Dreams Lift us up and transform us into something better and on my soul, until my dream of a world where dignity, honor and justice are the reality we all share I'll never stop fighting ever" I want to hear this quote in Superman Legacy

reminder that even while doing his "snapped" act, the fact that he did it without killing the elite means that superman was STILL HOLDING BACK.

I'm sure it's been said numerous times by other nerds, but it's consistently true:

Superman is at his best when he's written to be THE shining example of what the best humans do for their neighbors.

People who say "superman should be more realistic, dark, edgy" has to watch this film

I've already stated this on another video showing this same scene, but I _have_ to say it again. We *need* this "cheesy" goody two-shoes Superman back; the Superman who never crosses the line of killing, and the "naive boyscout" who genuinely believes in the ideal of being everyone's hero.
