However, the power not only strips Superman of his abilities but also takes away Batman's mind, putting his friends and even villains in danger. With the help of Zatanna, Superman must find a way to break Batman emotionally and take the amulet before it's too late.

It is pretty curious that both Batman and Superman lose control of their actions if their roles are exchanged. While Bruce went berserk upon gaining Superman's powers, the Kal-El raised in Gotham by the Wayne (from the Elseworlds story "Speeding Bullets") becomes a ruthless Batman consumed by hate. They are PERFECT just the way they are, so changing their phylosophy and lifestyle is absolutely a bad idea
